Firewood Donations

Much of our work entails moving resources from a place of abundance to a place of need. We estimate in the past 7 years we have transported 40 tons of firewood to homes still using wood to heat their homes and to cook. We strive for efficiency in cost but the bottom line is it requires significant effort and funds to make this happen.

Navajo Nation Partnership

Our foundation director, Paul McGrady, first visited the Navajo reservation with his family on a spring break mission trip with SNU students in 2008. He came home and began to talk with leaders at his church about how we could help those in need. In 2014, after years of assessment and relationship building the BFC Native American Partnership was initiated. Groups from the church have been in missions efforts each year. Many needed resources including ministerial training and support, church and home remodels, substance abuse recovery program development efforts and distribution of food, clothing, firewood and much needed water has taken place in numerous communities in the Navajo Nation. Our foundation is very blessed to be a part of these ongoing efforts.

Second Chance Thrift Store

Delisa Herbert, founder of Second Chance Thrift Store, has a heart of gold. Looking out for the homeless & formerly incarcerated of OKC, Delisa put out request for tents, sleeping bags, hand warmers, clothes, shoes and anything else that could assist with the cold winters. The McGrady Foundation was able to give in the form of a check thanks to our generous sponsors. Find out more about Second Chances Thrift Store at secondchancesthrift.org!
